The Flower Field

Flowers are the music of the ground. From earth’s lips spoken without sound” — Edwin Curran

From spring to late autumn, the Dawn to Dusk field is alive with butterflies, bees and birds that are drawn to the natural colours and scents of all the exquisitely beautiful fragrant seasonal blooms.  From the day’s beginning to its end, I nurture the soil and tend its gifts with care and patience.  Inspired by the nature that surrounds us, I grow from seed and bulb on my 1 acre biodiversity-friendly patch on our farm in Wiltshire, meticulously choosing varieties that will allow me to create the most naturally whimsical designs, full of fragrance and naturally healthy blooms.  Growing varies from year to year as I try out new planting options and return to old favourites. The result is a wide choice of flowers grown in harmony with nature.  I am passionate about the environment and I am committed to using earth friendly materials and techniques, no pesticides or artificial fertilisers are used in the growing of my blooms and I practise a “no dig” method.

I could not be without my four legged flowery shadow who can be found in the flower field most days and is always on hand to offer a helping paw -
